Consultancy: We provide medico-legal consultations for law firms; companies and individuals for personal injuries claims.
WHAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
NMPA Experts will ensure that the reports are provided in accordance with agreed timeframe as set out in our terms and conditions below, and to a professional standard. Client Attorney is required to arrange for reasonable access by us to relevant individuals and commits to provide necessary information and documentation to enable the timeous completion of reports:
Turnaround period.
Our attorneys required to arrange for reasonable access by us to relevant individuals and documents, and shall be responsible for both the completeness and accuracy of the information supplied to us. Turnaround time for submission of requested reports will upon receipt of full payment and receipt of all relevant documentation and/ or other expert reports as follows:

• Report turn-around period: 05 working days (both medico-legal report & RAF 4).
• Addendum = 04 working days
• Joint minutes = same day (depending on the response for the defending attorneys)
• Affidavits = Released together with the reports requested.
• Queries = 48 hours
Making Bookings/Appointment

Appointment should be made prior assessment date. Instructions will be accepted at least 3 days before the actual assessment date.
Primary documents required when making appointment:
• Instruction letter
• Completed booking form
• Medical Records
• RAF 1
• Claimant ID copy
• Any other information required will depend on the experts appointed.
When drafting instruction letter also include: Full names of the claimant, ID Number and Date of accident in question.
For claimants who are: Elderly, Minor or Mentally challenged, they should be accompanied by family member to assist them during the interviews/evaluation. The representative attorney or the messenger is not allowed to be in the assessment room assisting the claimant with experts’ evaluation responses.
Note:

• No walk in will be seen by the experts for Medico-legal assessment
• No claimant will be seen without medical records
• No person drunk person will be seen for assessments by experts
• A child under 18 years must will not be been without parent/guardian
• Mentally vulnerable client will not be seen without a family member/caregiver
• Our elders and wheelchair bound clients do not wait on the que.
Professional Fees and conditions
• Reports are only finalized and sent upon receipt and provision of all necessary documents.
• Invoice will be sent to you immediately after assessments
• It the duty of the Client attorneys to read the terms and conditions for the invoice and any other communication.
• Primary experts’ (Surgeons) reports should be settled with the period of 06 months after assessments. The other (secondary) experts must be settled within the period 12 months after assessments.
For urgent reports, the client attorney is expected to have fully paid for the report on assessment date.
